Father of three, sons David and Lyndon and daughter Angie, husband of Linda, and grandfather of three, Bill Amick, who hails from Saluda, South Carolina, was born on May 27, 1943 to A.D. "Chick" and Gladys Amick.
A Life Member and past chairman of Clemson (S.C.) University's Board of Trustees, Amick graduated from Clemson University in 1966 with a degree in poultry science with every intention of taking over the family poultry business. He was an honor graduate of Palmetto Military Academy in 1968. Besides serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amick Farms, Inc., he also owns Renaissance Communities, which develops upscale residential and resort properties in the Carolinas.
Amick served in the South Carolina National Guard for 11 years and is currently a member of the Palmetto AgriBusiness Council, the Palmetto Business Forum and the BIPEC Advisory Board.
Amick and his wife currently reside in Batesburg, Saluda County, South Carolina.
